Every autumn, the Communauté de Communes du Cap Corse (CCCC) organizes its Car Boot Sale / Wardrobe Clear-out operation on the Place Paoli in Macinaggio, in the municipality of Tomino (20248). This eco-responsible event brings together individuals and associations around giving objects a second life: clothing, accessories, toys, books, and good-condition items are offered at bargain prices or free.
The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm, with exhibitors setting up from 9 am. Registration is free but spaces are limited: advance registration with the CCCC is required. Entry is free for visitors. The principle is simple: bring your unused items, in good condition, to offer for sale or exchange, and leave with new finds at reduced prices.
The Communauté de Communes du Cap Corse (CCCC) comprises the municipalities of the Cap Corse peninsula, from Brando and Pietracorbara in the south to Rogliano and Centuri in the north. It is involved in areas as varied as land use planning, waste management, tourism, and sustainable development initiatives. The organization of this car boot sale/wardrobe clear-out operation is part of its policy to promote the circular economy and waste reduction, by encouraging residents to give their items a second life rather than throwing them away.
Macinaggio is the main port on the east coast of Cap Corse, located in the municipality of Tomino (20248). This small marina and fishing port is a must-stop for sailors navigating along Corsica or crossing to Tuscany and the Tuscan archipelago. Dominated by the Genoese towers that dot the coast, the port of Macinaggio has a beach, a few restaurants, and an end-of-the-world atmosphere that gives it a special charm.
The Place Paoli, in the heart of the village, is the main hub of Macinaggio. Shaded and lively, it regularly hosts local events. In October, as the tourist season winds down, this square returns to a village rhythm and is the ideal setting for a friendly second-hand event.
The Cap Corse car boot sale/wardrobe clear-out operation attracts participants from all over the peninsula: residents of Tomino, Rogliano, Centuri, Nonza, Brando, and surrounding areas. It's an opportunity to meet, exchange, and practice the circular economy in a spirit of Cap Corse conviviality and solidarity. Clothing, shoes, fashion accessories, books, toys, and decorative items are displayed on makeshift stalls.
The Communauté de Communes du Cap Corse (CCCC) is organizing its car boot sale and wardrobe clear-out operation in October 2026 on Place Paoli in Macinaggio, Tomino. Free registration, limited spaces, 10 am-4 pm.
Macinaggio, Tomino (20248). Accessible from Bastia via the D80 (eastern Cap Corse road). Parking at Macinaggio port.
