The Municipal Sports Office (OMS) of Clohars-Carnoët (29360) is one of the most active associations in the town. A pillar of local sports life, the OMS brings together the town's sports associations and organizes several popular events to fund its activities. Among these, two annual car boot sales punctuate the calendar for bargain hunters in southern Finistère.

The Spring Car Boot Sale (March)

In early spring, generally in March, the OMS organizes a first car boot sale at the Maison des associations, 47 rue de Saint-Jacques in Clohars-Carnoët. This early-season event allows residents of the town and surrounding areas to clear out their attics after winter and offer clothes, toys, books, and small items at affordable prices. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed.

The Big August 15th Car Boot Sale

The most anticipated summer event remains the August 15th car boot sale, organized Place Nava in Rozembellec, on the road to Moëlan. This event takes advantage of the Assumption Day public holiday to attract a large crowd, including both tourists and residents. Exhibitors set up from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in this coastal town, a few kilometers from the beaches and the Carnoët woods. Clothes, tableware, toys, books, and all sorts of everyday items are offered in a friendly summer atmosphere.

Clohars-Carnoët, Between Forest and Sea

Clohars-Carnoët is a commune in southern Finistère, at the mouth of the Ellé river and bordering the Carnoët forest. Its territory includes the famous village of Le Pouldu, where Paul Gauguin stayed before leaving for Polynesia, as well as numerous wild coves. Its proximity to Quimperlé (8 km) makes it an accessible town all year round.
