Charity car boot sale organized by the Oiseau Bleu de N'Zérékoré association in Maubourguet, supporting disadvantaged children in Guinea
The Oiseau Bleu de N'Zérékoré association, founded in January 2005 by Marie Niambalamou Kolou, originally from Guinea and living in the Hautes-Pyrénées for several decades, organizes this annual charity car boot sale. All profits are devoted to funding a reception and accommodation center for children in extreme poverty in the village of N'Zérékoré in Guinea. The association, accredited for Youth and Popular Education since 2016, pursues educational and health objectives for disadvantaged children.
Maubourguet is a commune of about 2,500 inhabitants in the Adour plain, in the north of the Hautes-Pyrénées. A town of markets and fairs since the Middle Ages, it maintains a lively trading tradition with its weekly market. Place de la Libération, which hosts the car boot sale, is the beating heart of the town, surrounded by character houses and shops.
