The association Poulies et Rouages d'Antan organises every summer in Labarthe-Inard a unique event that combines a car boot sale with demonstrations of old-fashioned wheat threshing. From 6 am to 6 pm, private sellers offer clothes, toys, crockery, trinkets, and various objects, while the association's volunteers revive ancestral threshing methods with period agricultural machinery.
The association Poulies et Rouages d'Antan aims to preserve and pass on the agricultural heritage of Comminges. Its members collect, restore, and operate vintage agricultural machinery: threshers, tractors, harvesters, and other old equipment. The old-fashioned threshing is the highlight of the show: wheat is harvested and threshed on-site with period machinery, offering visitors a fascinating spectacle.
Beyond the car boot sale and threshing, the event offers numerous activities starting at 9:30 am: a mini-farm for children, a gourmet market with local producers, an exhibition of vintage tractors and cars, and demonstrations of artisanal know-how. All in a rural setting by the Hierle lake.
