Each year in the spring, the Parents' Association of the Louise Michel school in Saint-Martory organizes a car boot sale that brings together about 80 exhibitors. This event, which has become a must-attend on the local calendar, finances the educational projects of this public primary school which welcomes nearly a hundred students.

Saint-Martory, a village in Comminges

Saint-Martory is a commune of about 1,000 inhabitants located on the banks of the Garonne, in Comminges, between Saint-Gaudens and Martres-Tolosane. The village is crossed by a remarkable medieval bridge spanning the river and offering a picturesque view of the Pyrenees. Its Avenue des Pyrénées, where the Louise Michel school is located, is the main artery of this peaceful and endearing locality.

With its 80 exhibitors, the Louise Michel school car boot sale offers a varied selection of items: clothing for children and adults, toys, board games, books, childcare equipment, tableware, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects. The atmosphere is resolutely family-friendly, with many parents bringing their children, creating a warm and good-natured atmosphere.

All profits from the car boot sale are donated to the APE to finance the projects of the Louise Michel school: educational outings, school trips, purchase of educational materials, shows, and workshops. The refreshment stand and catering, run by volunteer parents, also contribute to the success of this solidarity event.
