On the Place de Foumourette, in front of the village's old school, Alain Laugier, founder of the Art et Brocante shop, organizes an event combining popular treasure hunting and artistic sensibility.

The name Alain Laugier is known to flea market and television enthusiasts: this antiques expert was one of the buyers on the show "Affaire Conclue" on France 2. Passionate about flea markets and art, he chose to settle on the Haut-Lignon plateau to develop his Art et Brocante shop, located on the route de Foumourette in Mazet-Saint-Voy. This annual car boot sale is a natural extension of his business as a second-hand dealer and an invitation to share his passion with the local public and passing tourists.

An exceptional rural setting

The Place de Foumourette, in front of the old school, offers a setting of great authenticity. This rural hamlet perched on the Haut-Lignon plateau, about 2.5 km from the center of Mazet-Saint-Voy on the D15 (Le Puy-en-Velay – Valence axis), is surrounded by fir forests and high-altitude meadows. The beauty of the site adds an extra dimension to the treasure hunting day, which takes place amidst preserved natural landscapes and traditional rural architecture of Haute-Loire.

The Foumourette car boot sale runs from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a leisurely morning and afternoon of browsing. Exhibitors and visitors can eat on site thanks to the drinks and food provided by the organizers. Signposts on the D15 make it easy to find the location from the main road.
