Sarralbe owes its name to the river Albe, a tributary of the Sarre, which flows through the commune. Historically linked to salt exploitation, this small town in Moselle-Est preserves remarkable industrial and religious heritage. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, the bridge over the Sarre, and the old saltworks bear witness to a rich past. The Marche aux puces de Rech is part of the lively life of this commune where sports associations play a central role.
AS Rech, a sports association from the Rech district in Sarralbe, regularly organizes events to fund its activities and liven up local life. The flea market is one of these unifying events, attracting treasure hunters from all over the Pays de l'Albe et des Lacs region.
