29th edition of the grand flea market of Adamswiller in the heart of Alsace Bossue
The Grand Flea Market of Adamswiller is one of the finest and oldest flea markets in northern Bas-Rhin. For its 29th edition, it takes over the Rue Principale at the entrance of the village, transforming this small rural commune of Alsace Bossue into a vast open-air market. With around 160 exhibitors, the event attracts thousands of bargain hunters each year from all over Alsace, Lorraine, Moselle and even Germany.
Over nearly a kilometer, the stalls offer an incredible diversity of items: antiques, rustic furniture, crockery and porcelain, crystal and glassware, old linens, vintage clothing, toys, vinyl records, books and comics, tools, militaria, postcards, advertising items, lights, clocks, costume jewelry, religious items and Alsatian folk art. Affordable rates — 2.50 € per linear meter — allow many exhibitors to participate.
Throughout the day, the food stands and bars run by volunteers offer Alsatian specialties: grilled meats, fries, merguez, white sausages, ham in Riesling, flammekueche, pretzels, local beers, Alsatian wines, coffee and homemade pastries.
Adamswiller is a small village of about 350 inhabitants located in Alsace Bossue, in the northwest of Bas-Rhin, on the border with Moselle. This rural, hilly and wooded region offers an authentic and preserved setting.
