Located about thirty kilometers west of Strasbourg, at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile and at the entrance to the Bruche Valley, Mutzig (6,000 inhabitants) is world-famous for its brewing heritage. It was here in 1810 that the Wagner family founded the Mutzig Brewery, which would give birth to one of the most iconic Alsatian beers. Even though the historic brewery closed in 1989, the town retains a rich industrial history and remarkable heritage: the Castle Gate, Saint-Maurice church, Renaissance houses, and the Fort of Mutzig (Fort Kaiser Wilhelm II), a masterpiece of early 20th-century German military architecture.
Exhibitors offer a wide range of items: dishes and porcelain, glassware, antique furniture, household linen, vintage clothing, old toys and games, books, vinyl records, trinkets, paintings, postcards, old tools, brewery and Alsatian memorial objects, various collections. Prices remain accessible and the variety of exhibitors guarantees hours of rewarding bargain hunting. Refreshments and snacks are provided on site, allowing bargain hunters to take a break in a friendly atmosphere.
