Great annual flea market organized by the Sporting Club of Dinsheim-sur-Bruche, also known as the "Donkey Flea Market"
The Dinsheim-sur-Bruche Sporting Club Flea Market, familiarly called the "Donkey Flea Market" in reference to a local tradition, is one of the major summer events in the Bruche valley. Organized each year by the SC Dinsheim, the village's historic football club, it unites the whole team of volunteers around a convivial event.
The stalls are full of a diversity of items: antiques, furniture, porcelain crockery, silverware, crystal, vinyl records, books, vintage clothing, tin and wooden toys, postcards, lamps, clocks, old tools and Alsatian souvenirs. About 150 exhibitors take part.
Throughout the day, the bar and catering run by the Sporting Club volunteers delight visitors with Alsatian classics: flammekueche, grilled meats, merguez, fries, pretzels, local beers and Alsatian wines.
Dinsheim-sur-Bruche is a small commune of about 1,500 inhabitants nestled in the Bruche valley, about twenty kilometers southwest of Strasbourg.
