The paratroopers' car boot sale in Dreux in Bû

Every summer, the town of Bû hosts the large car boot sale organized by the UNP 281 Dreux section, the local section of the National Union of Parachutists. This popular event takes place on the football stadium located near the village hall, rue des Fossés, and brings together between 100 and 200 private sellers for a day of outdoor selling.

The National Union of Parachutists, an association of tradition

The National Union of Parachutists (UNP) is a French association bringing together former paratrooper soldiers, created in 1963 and recognized as being of public utility by decree on September 11, 1978. Throughout France, its local sections regularly organize events to finance their activities and maintain the fraternal bond between members. The Bû car boot sale is one of these popular events, which allows the association to make itself known to the general public while animating local life.

A well-organized car boot sale

With between 100 and 200 private sellers, the Bû car boot sale is one of the largest events of its kind in the Dreux sector. The stalls are spread across the municipal stadium, offering clothing, toys, books, tools, decorative items, and all sorts of flea market goods. Sellers can set up from 6:00 am and visitors are welcomed from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Participation conditions

Private sellers can register on site, without prior reservation, at a rate of €3 per linear meter (minimum 3 meters). Only private individuals are admitted as sellers. Catering and refreshments are provided on site by the organizers, and toilets and parking are available on the site.
