Monthly flea market and car boot sale on Allées Fénelon and Place Gambetta in Cahors
The unmissable monthly meeting for Cahors treasure hunters, the Brocante Vide-Greniers des Allées Fénelon takes place every month on Allées Fénelon and Place Gambetta in the heart of Cahors. Organized by Violetta, this event brings together between 100 and 200 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, in an exceptional setting along the Lot river. Free entry, from 8 am to 5 pm.
In the heart of the Lot prefecture, the Allées Fénelon and Place Gambetta transform each month into a vast market of treasures. The Brocante Vide-Greniers Fénelon, organized by Violetta, has become over the years the preferred monthly gathering for treasure hunters and flea market dealers from Cahors and the Quercy region.
The Allées Fénelon, Cahors' central artery, offer a remarkable setting for this monthly flea market. Located just a short walk from the Saint-Étienne Cathedral and the famous Pont Valentré, a UNESCO World Heritage site, these tree-lined avenues provide shade and welcome between 100 and 200 exhibitors who set up their stalls on the widened sidewalks and the adjacent Place Gambetta. The layout allows visitors to stroll comfortably among the stalls, sheltered by century-old plane trees.
The flea market offers an eclectic range of past objects: antique and vintage furniture, tableware, books and magazines, second-hand clothing, trinkets, old tools, vinyl records, old toys, and curiosities of all kinds. Individuals and professional dealers mingle, offering a diversity of prices and quality that satisfies both seasoned collectors and casual browsers. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere of these avenues creates an ideal setting for treasure hunting and bargaining.
The event is held regularly from spring to autumn, sometimes in winter depending on weather conditions. Exhibitors set up from 7 am, while visitors can discover the stalls from 8 am to 5 pm. Entry is free for visitors. Amenities are available on-site, and the proximity to Cahors town center allows for a pleasant extension of the day in the surrounding shops, restaurants, and cafes.
The medieval city of Cahors, bathed by a meander of the Lot river, is a prime destination for heritage and antique enthusiasts. Dominated by its Pont Valentré and fortified towers, the city boasts a rich network of antique shops and art galleries. The monthly flea market on Allées Fénelon naturally fits into this local tradition of trading old and second-hand items, attracting visitors from all over the Lot department and neighboring regions.
The Brocante Vide-Greniers Fénelon continues its monthly events in 2026 on Allées Fénelon and Place Gambetta in Cahors.
