The Malbuisson Brocante Festival is one of the most emblematic flea market events in the Haut-Doubs. Organized every late August for the past 17 years, it brings together around 100 exhibitors at the Place du Temps Libre, on the edge of Lac de Saint-Point, the third largest natural lake in France. This exceptional lakeside and mountainous setting, between water reflections and fir tree silhouettes, gives the event a unique atmosphere that attracts thousands of visitors each year.

The opening hours are particularly generous: from 6 am to 6 pm, twelve hours of uninterrupted treasure hunting. Early risers take advantage of the first hours to find the best pieces, while holiday families arrive mid-morning to browse the stalls in a relaxed atmosphere. Entry is completely free for visitors, and catering is available on-site.

100 exhibitors at the Place du Temps Libre

The Place du Temps Libre, a large open space by the lake, hosts all the exhibitors. With around a hundred stalls, the Malbuisson Brocante Festival offers remarkable diversity: antique furniture and quality flea market items, tableware and glassware, vintage clothing and textiles, vinyl records and musical instruments, antique toys and games, books and documents, trinkets and collectibles, tools and utensils. The significant proportion of professional dealers, alongside private exhibitors, guarantees a high quality and originality of the items offered.

Malbuisson and Lac de Saint-Point

Malbuisson is one of the jewels of the Haut-Doubs. This village on the shores of Lac de Saint-Point (7.2 km long, 950 m wide, 40 m deep) is a prime tourist destination, welcoming many holidaymakers each summer who come to enjoy the beaches, swimming, fishing, and surrounding hiking trails. The lake is bordered by a landscape of meadows and villages reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.

The Brocante Festival fits perfectly into this summer tourist offering, allowing holidaymakers to combine treasure hunting, lakeside walks, and discovering the flavors of the Haut-Doubs (Mont d'Or cheese, Comté cheese, Yellow Wine from the Two Lakes).
