Liglet Flea Market

An accessible and friendly flea market

Liglet is a small commune in south-eastern Vienne, in the Montmorillonnais, at the gates of the Brenne regional natural park. Each spring, the town hall and Liglet Temps Libre association jointly run the village flea market, on Sunday 3 May 2026 from 7 am to 6 pm. Pitches are completely free — rare and telling of the commune's active support for chiners and private sellers.

Authentic village setting

Sellers take over Place de la Mairie and part of Grand Rue. Typical small Poitou rural commune: Romanesque church, town hall, few shops, old stone houses. Intimate, friendly atmosphere.

Liglet, gates of Brenne

Commune of c. 300 inhabitants, Montmorillon canton, halfway between Montmorillon (City of Writing) and La Trimouille. Fringes of Brenne regional natural park with its thousands of ponds (stilts, herons, otters).

Free pitches: a solidarity move

Encourages families and seniors to take part. Old-school model where flea markets remain about social life, not business.

Access

Via D30 or D5 from Montmorillon (25 min) or La Trimouille (15 min). ~1 hour from Poitiers, 1h15 from Limoges. Street parking.

Brenne Park (20 min) for birdwatching, Saint-Savin UNESCO frescoes (40 km), Montmorillon and its City of Writing (25 min).
