Flea market in the village of Lichtenberg dominated by its imposing medieval castle
The village of Lichtenberg offers an absolutely unique setting for a flea market. Dominated by its medieval castle perched on a pink sandstone spur, the village hosts private exhibitors offering trinkets, porcelain tableware, glassware, vintage clothing, linens, old toys, books, vinyl records, small furniture and Alsatian curiosities. Strolling between the stalls with the majestic fortress as a backdrop is an unforgettable experience.
Lichtenberg is a village of about 550 inhabitants in the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Its castle, built in the 13th century on a pink Vosges sandstone peak, is one of the most remarkable in Alsace. Redesigned by Vauban in the 17th century, it now hosts cultural events.
