Weekly flea market every Sunday in July and August on the Promenade du Bastion in Lectoure
Every Sunday in July and August, the Promenade du Bastion in Lectoure transforms into a vast open-air flea market. Les Puces de l'Été welcome individuals and dealers without prior reservation, who come to offer furniture, trinkets, books, vinyl records, and second-hand items on this panoramic site overlooking the Gers valley. An unmissable summer event for bargain hunters passing through this city of art and history.
From July to the end of August, the Promenade du Bastion in Lectoure hosts the Puces de l'Été every Sunday, a flea market open to all without prior reservation. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., individuals and dealers set up along this panoramic promenade to offer bargain hunters a varied selection: furniture, tableware, antique toys, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, trinkets, and everyday objects.
The Promenade du Bastion is one of Lectoure's most emblematic sites. Built on the old ramparts of the city, it offers a spectacular panorama over the Gers valley and the Pyrenees mountain range on clear days. The flea market stalls stretch along this shaded esplanade, offering visitors an incomparable setting for bargain hunting, between heritage and Gascon landscape.
The unique feature of Les Puces de l'Été is its open format: no reservation required, no prior registration. Anyone can come and set up their treasures for the modest price of €2 per linear meter. This accessible formula encourages a constant renewal of offerings and attracts both families on vacation looking to declutter and dealers passing through the Gers.
Les Puces de l'Été are part of Lectoure's rich summer program, alongside the Tuesday market, the Nuits du Lundi, and the Été Photographique. The Gers town, which is among the Most Beautiful Detours in France, sees its population multiply in the summer thanks to booming cultural and heritage tourism. Former capital of the county of Armagnac, Lectoure charms visitors with its exceptional heritage—Saint-Gervais cathedral, Gallo-Roman baths, ramparts—and the liveliness of its streets in the summer. Les Puces de l'Été fully contribute to this attractiveness, offering every Sunday an additional reason to stay in this beautiful hilltop town in the Gers.
Puces de l'Été in Lectoure, every Sunday in July-August 2026, Promenade du Bastion, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Free entry, exhibitors €2/linear meter without reservation.
