Monthly professional flea market at the foot of the cathedral
Les Puces Amiénoises take place on Saturday 17 October 2026 at the Jardin Dufau, at the foot of Amiens' Notre-Dame Cathedral. Autumn edition of this monthly professional flea market organised by Amiens Métropole, it gathers around twenty qualified antique dealers in one of the Somme's most beautiful urban settings. Hours 8am-5pm, free entry. A quality rendezvous for seasoned collectors.
The October 2026 edition of Les Puces Amiénoises takes place on Saturday 17 October, from 8am to 5pm, at the Jardin Dufau. Held one Saturday per month from April to November by Amiens Métropole, the event stands apart from the great popular Amiens réderies with its concentrated, professional, qualitative format. It addresses above all lovers of antiques and demanding collectors, looking for selected pieces in a prestigious setting.
The Jardin Dufau, located right at the foot of Notre-Dame Cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage site), offers a rare, prestigious setting for this flea market. This formal park, with its ordered paths and centuries-old trees, lets exhibitors display their stands in a preserved, peaceful environment, far from the bustle of big street events. Autumn even gives it a particular atmosphere, with copper tones in the foliage.
Unlike open-to-all flea markets, Les Puces Amiénoises are exclusively reserved for professional dealers and antiques specialists. The selection covers about twenty exhibitors who guarantee a consistent quality level. You'll find: antiques and authentic period furniture, paintings and prints, collectible porcelain and glassware, antique horology, period jewellery, art objects, militaria, ephemera, old postcards, curios and folk art. Pieces are documented and often accompanied by expert advice.
The October edition almost closes the Puces Amiénoises season (November being the last). It benefits from a more muted atmosphere, with less tourist attendance than in summer, and often a more informed clientele — true Amiens and Picard bargain hunters. A discreet salon atmosphere, ideal for taking time to negotiate and exchange with dealers.
Launched as part of a policy to enhance historic heritage, Les Puces Amiénoises contribute to the cultural dynamism of Amiens' centre, alongside the cathedral, the Saint-Leu district, Jules Verne's House and the Picardie Museum. For visitors, it's the ideal chance to combine quality browsing with touristic discovery of the Picard capital.
