In early October, the small village of La Bastide celebrates the legumes of the Var terroir with its Lentil and Chickpea Festival. Local products, crafts, tastings and friendly catering animate the Lower Village for a gourmet day that honors the ancestral agriculture of the Haut-Var. An authentic late-season rendezvous.

La Bastide is a small Haut-Var village of around 220 residents, perched on the plateau at the edge of the Verdon. Its arid soils and moderate altitudes (around 1000m) favor legume cultivation without irrigation.
