La Garnache is a lively commune of almost 4,500 inhabitants in northwest Vendée, right next to Challans. Its territory bridges the Vendée bocage and the northern fringes of the Breton-Vendée marsh. Each year the village holds a flea market for bargain hunters and residents of the area. 2026 edition: Friday 12 June 2026.
