Summer flea market in the unique setting of the Audomarois marsh in Saint-Omer
The Brocante du Jardin Audomarois takes place in the heart of the Audomarois marsh, the last cultivated marsh in France classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. This exceptional setting of greenery and canals offers a unique backdrop for a summer treasure hunt. Exhibitors offer flea market items, antiques, and second-hand goods in an incomparable bucolic atmosphere.
The Audomarois marsh, a vast 3,700-hectare wetland crisscrossed by watercourses and canals, is a natural and heritage treasure of the Pas-de-Calais. The Brocante du Jardin Audomarois takes advantage of this extraordinary setting to offer visitors an extraordinary treasure hunting experience, between preserved nature and vintage finds.
Classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since 2013, the Audomarois marsh is the green lung of Saint-Omer. Market gardeners still cultivate the Saint-Omer cauliflower there using ancestral methods, transporting their harvests by escaute (flat-bottomed boat). This summer flea market is part of the valorization of this unique living heritage in France.
