Grand garage sale in the famous wine village of Madiran, alongside the La Foulee du Madiran running race
The La Foulee Garage Sale takes place in the village of Madiran, birthplace of the famous AOC wine appellation classified since 1948. This small Val d'Adour village, at the border of the Hautes-Pyrenees, Gers and Pyrenees-Atlantiques, is world-renowned for its full-bodied red wines made from the Tannat grape. It is in this exceptional setting, among rolling vineyards and Gascon architecture, that exhibitors set up their stalls.
The La Foulee du Madiran association jointly organizes a running event including a 22km trail, a 15km nature run, a 14km walk and children's races. The garage sale is part of this festive day that traditionally launches the village celebrations. Exhibitors and visitors enjoy a lively atmosphere, between bargain stalls and convivial refreshment stands.
This typically rural garage sale offers a varied assortment: antique dishes, household linen, garden tools, toys, books and ornaments. Participants traditionally receive a bottle of Madiran wine, a testimony to the winemakers' hospitality. An authentic experience in the heart of Pyrenean terroir.
