Car Boot Sale by the Festival Committee in the park behind the town hall of Irodouër
The Festival Committee of Irodouër (35850) organizes an annual car boot sale on the first Saturday of May, on the Rue de la Mairie and in the communal park located behind the town hall. This outdoor event is open to individuals without reservation, in a spirit of simplicity and conviviality. Clothing, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, and everyday objects make up the varied offerings of the exhibitors.
Irodouër is a rural commune of about 1,700 inhabitants located in the bocage bretillien, west of Rennes, on the road to Montfort-sur-Meu. The village has a 19th-century parish church and a preserved rural setting, with its sunken lanes, hedgerows, and traditional granite farms. The town hall park, shaded and green, offers a pleasant setting for the spring car boot sale.
The Irodouër car boot sale is distinguished by its simplicity: no reservation required, free setup in the town hall park. It is a local event appreciated by the inhabitants of the commune and surrounding villages. Admission is free and the atmosphere is relaxed, reflecting the spirit of this rural village where associative life marks the seasons.
