The Illkirch-Graffenstaden Car Boot Sale has established itself over the years as one of the eagerly awaited spring events for bargain hunters in the Strasbourg Eurometropolis. Hosted at the Lixenbuhl sports complex, a spacious and easily accessible municipal facility, it brings together nearly 95 private exhibitors who offer a wide variety of items at low prices. The event is not limited to Illkirch residents: it attracts bargain hunters from the entire Strasbourg agglomeration, neighbouring communes of Ostwald, Lingolsheim, Geispolsheim, Fegersheim, Plobsheim and as far as the centre of Strasbourg. The atmosphere is family-friendly, relaxed and convivial, with sellers favouring human contact and friendly negotiation.

Visitors discover on the stalls an eclectic range of items: adult and children's clothing (new or lightly worn), shoes, fashion accessories, toys for all ages (soft toys, board games, figurines, dolls, miniature vehicles, educational games), books (novels, comics, children's books, coffee table books), CDs, DVDs, vinyls, video games and consoles, small furniture, decorative trinkets, crockery, glassware, household linen, childcare items (strollers, bouncers, car seats, early learning toys), tools, sports equipment, bicycles, scooters and a thousand other treasures. Light refreshments and a bar are generally available on site for visitors.

Illkirch-Graffenstaden, dynamic town south of Strasbourg

Illkirch-Graffenstaden is a dynamic commune in the Bas-Rhin, integrated into the Strasbourg Eurometropolis. With nearly 27,000 inhabitants, it is one of the largest communes of the Strasbourg agglomeration, located south of the Alsatian capital, along the Rhône-Rhine canal. The town is marked by its industrial history (SACM factories), its university campus (API pôle - Illkirch Innovation Park), its rich associative life and its many sports and cultural facilities. The Lixenbuhl sports complex, located in a residential district, regularly hosts sporting and associative events as well as the major car boot sales that enliven local life.
