The Hountagn'ère association organizes a popular car boot sale each spring for bargain hunters in the Tarbes agglomeration. Bazet, a residential commune of 1,880 inhabitants called the Bazétois, is located 6 kilometers northwest of Tarbes, the prefecture of Hautes-Pyrenees. The Occitan name "Hountagn'ère" evokes the fountain, a symbol of this village in the Adour plain.
Exhibitors are welcomed from 6:30 am, allowing the earliest risers to snap up the best deals. The stalls offer the classic mix of clothing, toys, books, trinkets and everyday objects. The refreshment bar and fast food with a dining area allow visitors to spend the day on site in a relaxed atmosphere.
