The Easter flea market in south-western Somme
The Hornoy-le-Bourg spring flea market is one of those local rendezvous that quietly rhythm Picardy springtime. Scheduled on Easter Monday, it benefits from the public holiday attracting a wider audience.
The usual range of rural flea markets: adult and children's clothes, crockery, books, toys, vinyls, small furniture, tools, garden gear, knick-knacks inherited from grandparents.
Hornoy-le-Bourg is a town of about 1,300 inhabitants, a former canton seat some 30 km south-west of Amiens. It has kept a strong rural character with its Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church and red-brick houses.
The atmosphere is that of good countryside events: no rush, no loud vendors, just normal conversations, coffee breaks and reunions among villagers.
Hornoy-le-Bourg is less than 30 km from Poix-de-Picardie, Aumale and Oisemont, allowing the flea market to be combined with other local discoveries.
On Monday 6 April 2026, Hornoy-le-Bourg held its traditional spring flea market. The town's streets came alive from the morning with private exhibitors and hunters enjoying the public holiday.
The relaxed village atmosphere let visitors stroll without rushing. Locals and villagers from neighbouring towns enjoyed this rendezvous marking the return of spring.
