Every end of August, the village of Saint-Pierre-de-Bailleul hosts its annual flea market in the magnificent Norman Seine valley. Between Vernon and Gaillon, this Norman town in Eure offers an idyllic riverside setting for a day of summer unpacking. Private sellers and flea market dealers offer their items to bargain hunters from Eure and neighboring departments.
Saint-Pierre-de-Bailleul is a village in Eure nestled on the banks of the Seine, in the meander sector between Vernon and Gaillon. This area of the Norman Seine, with its beech-wooded slopes, limestone cliffs, and gravelly shores, is one of the most beautiful in Haute-Normandie. The Impressionist paintings of Claude Monet and other painters of the Seine valley bear witness to the exceptional beauty of these Norman river landscapes. Vernon and its gardens of Giverny are only a few kilometers upstream.
The village flea market of Saint-Pierre-de-Bailleul offers furniture, tableware, books, clothing, toys, and flea market items in an exceptional natural setting. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, typical of this type of rural event on the banks of the Seine. Free entry for visitors.
From Vernon (27200), take the D313 along the Seine east towards Gaillon; Saint-Pierre-de-Bailleul is about 12 km away. From Gaillon (27600), take the D313 west.
Vernon-Giverny station (Paris-Saint-Lazare/Caen line), then road along the Seine.
Free parking in the village.
