The Grande Brocante of Tigery: 500 sellers in the Essonne Brie

Tigery is a commune of the Essonne Brie, between the Seine canal and the agricultural plains of the Brie plateau, in the Évry-Courcouronnes arrondissement. With around 3,500 residents, Tigery is a small but dynamic commune with a notable business presence in its activities zone.

The Grande Brocante Vide-Grenier is organised by professional operator EVEN PLUS (contact: 06 84 84 50 76). Every summer, the first Sunday of July, around 500 sellers fill the Avenue des Fossés Neufs for a high-intensity day of chining. Doors open at 5am — a tradition of major brocantes where professionals and early-risers shop before the crowd arrives.

Tigery's geography is appealing: the Seine canal (Canal d'Épisy), proximity to Corbeil-Essonnes (under 5 km) and Melun (15 km, Seine-et-Marne) give the brocante a multi-departmental draw. Visitors come from Essonne, Seine-et-Marne, Yonne and Paris.
