Grand flea market on July 14th in the streets of the former salt city
Every July 14th, the Grande Brocante de Marsal transforms the streets of this fortified city into a lively open-air market. Dozens of exhibitors – flea market dealers, antique dealers, and individuals – offer their finds in an exceptional historic setting. The event is jointly organized by the Foyer rural and the football club of Marsal.
Marsal is a village of 300 inhabitants located in the heart of the Saulnois region, classified among the Plus Beaux Détours de France. The former stronghold, fortified by Vauban, preserves impressive ramparts, a monumental French gate, and a departmental salt museum that retraces the millennia-old history of salt exploitation in the region. The military and heritage setting of Marsal gives the flea market a unique atmosphere.
The Grande Brocante de Marsal takes place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9 AM to 6 PM, in the streets of the old salt city. Organized by the Foyer rural and the Marsal football club, this renowned flea market in the Grand Est region gathers dozens of exhibitors each year and attracts many bargain hunters from all over the region. Free entry for visitors; refreshment stand and catering on site.
