The big annual car boot sale of Boussens, summer meeting point for bargain hunters by the Garonne
Each summer, the commune of Boussens hosts its annual big car boot sale, an event that has become a must for bargain hunters from Comminges and the Garonne valley. Around 100 exhibitors — mainly individuals — take over the village to offer furniture, clothing, toys, tableware, tools, books, and all sorts of items. The event is scheduled for August 9, 2026, in the middle of the summer season, taking advantage of favorable tourist traffic.
Boussens is a rural commune of 1,135 inhabitants located in the center of the Haute-Garonne department, about 70 km south of Toulouse. The village is bordered to the east by the Garonne river and crossed by the Saint-Martory canal, giving it a pleasant natural setting. Altitudes range from 257 to 403 meters, offering views of the Pyrenean foothills. The commune is part of the Cœur de Garonne community of communes and has remarkable natural heritage with two Natura 2000 sites.
