In the spring of 2025, the village of La Rivière-Drugeon hosted its big annual car boot sale. Local sellers—individuals from the communes of Plaine d'Arlier and the canton of Frasne—offered clothes, toys, dishes, books, and all sorts of items to visitors who came to enjoy a pleasant day of treasure hunting in the Drugeon valley.
The exceptional setting of this village, nestled in one of France's most beautiful wetlands, was, as every year, an additional attraction for flea market enthusiasts keen to combine treasure hunting with nature discovery. The Drugeon river, its peat bogs, and its wet meadows classified as Natura 2000 enhanced the pleasure of hunting for bargains in this preserved corner of the Haut-Doubs.
