Grand unpacking and flea market in Savonnières, troglodytic village on the banks of the Cher opposite Villandry
The Grand Déballage de Savonnières brings together bargain hunters and exhibitors in this troglodytic village on the banks of the Cher, opposite Villandry castle, for a day of summer flea market in one of the most beautiful villages of Touraine.
The Grand Déballage de Savonnières is a flea market event that takes over the streets of this Touraine village for a day of summer bargain hunting. Exhibitors offer furniture, antique tableware, decorative objects, books, toys, clothing, trinkets, embroidered linens, paintings, and various curiosities. The exceptional setting of the village, with its troglodytic houses dug into the tuffeau and its flowery alleys, gives this flea market an incomparable charm.
Savonnières is a village of about 3,100 inhabitants located on the banks of the Cher, a few kilometers from Tours and opposite the famous Villandry castle. The village is known for its petrifying caves, natural cavities where calcareous water deposits a stone veil on objects, and for its remarkable troglodytic heritage. The Romanesque church of Saint-Gervais-et-Saint-Protais, the cellars dug into the cliff, and the flowery gardens make Savonnières one of the most picturesque villages in Touraine.
The Grand Déballage takes place on Sundays as part of the festive weekend at the end of June. Admission is free. Food and drink available on site.
The Grand Déballage de Savonnières returns on June 28, 2026.
