The big August flea market in Tence

After the success of the May flea market, Tence offers every second Sunday in August a second major flea market and car boot sale event on Boulevard Léon Rocher. This summer edition, which benefits from increased tourist traffic, brings together over 300 exhibitors and thousands of visitors for a festive treasure hunting day in the heart of Haut-Lignon.

A festive weekend with a popular dance

The peculiarity of the August flea market is that it is preceded, on Saturday evening, by a free popular dance. This flea market dance has become a real festive event in itself, bringing together locals and vacationers for a friendly dancing evening. The next morning, exhibitors reclaim the site to set up their stalls, creating a festive continuity over the weekend.

Organization and prices

Exhibitors can arrive on-site from 4 am on Sunday to set up without prior reservation. Prices are affordable: €2 per linear meter outdoors. It is also possible to reserve a spot in advance with the organizers, especially for covered spots in the gymnasium on Boulevard Léon Rocher.

Catering and summer atmosphere

Throughout the day, full catering is available on-site: sandwiches, paninis, ice cream, granitas, daily specials, and various specialties to satisfy small and big appetites. The refreshment stand provides cold and hot drinks. The summer atmosphere of Haut-Lignon, at over 900 meters altitude, offers welcome coolness for this outdoor day.
