The largest flea market in Normandy: over 2,200 exhibitors over 2.5 km
The Foire des Andaines is undoubtedly one of the major events on the Norman flea market calendar. Every year in May, the departmental road D386 between Bagnoles-de-l'Orne-Normandie and Saint-Michel-des-Andaines transforms into a huge flea market 2.5 kilometers long. More than 2,200 exhibitors - individuals and professionals - set up along the roadside for this exceptional flea market.
Organized by the association Avenir Espoir 2000, the Foire des Andaines has been a fixture of local tradition for over a quarter of a century. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year from all over Normandy and neighboring regions, looking for bargains and unique items.
The setting is exceptional: the road runs through the magnificent Andaines forest, on the edge of the spa town of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne. Over the two days of the weekend, treasure hunters browse the 2.5 km of stalls offering furniture, crockery, vintage clothing, trinkets, old tools, books, and collectibles. The earliest birds arrive as early as 4 am on Saturday to find the best deals.
Beyond the flea market, the Foire des Andaines is a true popular festival. Food stalls line the route, allowing visitors to eat while browsing. The atmosphere is relaxed, festive, and family-friendly, in a preserved natural setting.
