Every year, on the occasion of Ascension Thursday, Pont-Aven (29930) transforms into a vast outdoor flea and antique market. This flea market fair brings together about twenty professionals who set up in the town's outdoor spaces to offer furniture, trinkets, art objects, paintings, earthenware, and silverware.

An Outdoor Fair in the Painters' Town

The exceptional setting of Pont-Aven — its picturesque streets, its mills on the Aven, its art galleries — offers an incomparable backdrop for this spring fair. The exhibitors, all professionals, display their stalls outdoors, allowing visitors to stroll freely from one stand to another, under the Breton sky. The diversity of goods offered — from period furniture to old tableware, including second-hand books, paintings, and decorative objects — makes it an event appreciated by collectors and the simply curious alike.

Ascension Day, a Festive Occasion in Pont-Aven

The fair takes advantage of the long Ascension weekend to attract a large crowd, including locals and tourists already present on the Finistère coast. Pont-Aven, halfway between Quimperlé and Concarneau, is easily accessible from the main Breton roads. The day can be extended by visiting the Pont-Aven Museum, the numerous galleries, or by having a meal in one of the town's restaurants.

The flea market is open from 9 am to 7 pm. Admission is free for visitors. The event exclusively hosts professional exhibitors (around twenty stands).
