Every July, the polyvalent hall car park in Riec-sur-Bélon (29340) transforms into a large flea and antique market. This flea market is one of the oldest and most popular events in the Quimperlé region. In 2025, it celebrated its 31st edition on July 12, 2025.

A well-established organization serving exhibitors and visitors

The market is open from 6 am to 6:30 pm, allowing exhibitors to set up early in the morning and welcome the first bargain hunters at dawn. Reservation is mandatory for exhibitors, who pay a fee of €14 for 3.50 meters of space. Vehicles are not allowed on the plots, but a visitor car park is available nearby. Food vendors are not permitted. The event is organized by Alex Bernard, reachable at 02 98 06 49 49.

Riec-sur-Bélon, birthplace of the Breton flat oyster

Riec-sur-Bélon is a commune in southern Finistère, crossed by the river Bélon, famous worldwide for its flat oysters raised in its cold, iodized waters. The commune, a few kilometers from Quimperlé and Moëlan-sur-Mer, offers a picturesque setting between estuary, oak forests, and the Cornouaille countryside. The flea market is part of the tradition of large summer events that liven up the towns of Finistère during the tourist season.

A market not to be missed in July

With over thirty editions under its belt, the Riec-sur-Bélon flea market enjoys an excellent reputation in the region. It attracts exhibitors from all over Finistère and neighboring departments, as well as a loyal public of collectors, bargain hunters, and strollers. The items offered cover a wide range: antique furniture, tools, books, vinyl records, clothing, tableware, and curiosities.
