Large flea market with nearly 200 exhibitors in the historic streets of Chambon-sur-Voueize
With nearly 200 exhibitors each year, the Foire à la Brocante de Chambon-sur-Voueize is one of the most important flea market events in the Creuse department. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes, this annual market is held on a Sunday in July in the streets of this picturesque village located at the confluence of the Voueize and Tardes rivers.
The flea market celebrates its 40th edition in 2025, demonstrating the longevity and success of this event, which began in the 1980s. Over the decades, it has become an essential meeting point for bargain hunters from all over Nouvelle-Aquitaine, attracting thousands of visitors to the streets of Chambon-sur-Voueize.
The market unfolds in the village streets, around the Place des Platanes and Place Delamare, under the benevolent gaze of the abbatiale Sainte-Valérie. This 11th-12th century Romanesque church, a listed historic monument, is considered one of the most beautiful Romanesque buildings in the Limousin region. Its apse with radiating chapels and its octagonal bell tower offer a remarkable heritage setting for the exhibitors' stalls.
From 5 am, the first savvy bargain hunters scour the aisles in search of a good deal, before the general public arrives. Until 5 pm, the stalls offer a considerable selection: antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, paintings, books, tools, toys, and collectibles. Food and drinks are available on-site, with indoor and outdoor areas. Parking and restrooms are provided for visitors.
