Every Thursday, the Place du Foirail in Tarbes comes alive at dawn with its flea market. Set up outdoors next to the flower market and the traditional Marcadieu market, this weekly gathering is a Tarbes institution. Professional dealers and occasional sellers begin unpacking their treasures at 5:30 AM for early bird bargain hunters, while the market is in full swing from 7 AM to 1 PM.

A wide selection of items at low prices

The Foirail stalls feature an eclectic assortment: porcelain trinkets, antique tableware, second-hand books, postcards, vinyl records, garden tools, small furniture, household linen, and all sorts of curiosities. The atmosphere is friendly and down-to-earth, true to the spirit of South-West France markets. Regulars know the best stalls and return each week to find hidden gems.

Place du Foirail is ideally located in the commercial district of Tarbes, just steps from the Halle Marcadieu. After browsing, you can extend your stroll by visiting the neighboring food market and enjoying the surrounding café terraces.
