The children's and adults' clothes swap during the Flower Festival of Castillonnès
The Flower Festival of Castillonnès hosts a children's and adults' clothes swap every spring, allowing visitors to the floral festival to find great fashion items at affordable prices. Clothes of all styles, dresses, trousers, jackets, shoes, and accessories are offered by individual sellers in a unique setting: the streets and central square of the medieval bastide of Castillonnès.
This clothes swap is part of the spirit of the Flower Festival, a spring event that brings together dozens of exhibitors around plants, gardening, and local crafts every year. The mix of floral discovery and second-hand fashion creates a festive and colorful atmosphere in the historic alleys of the bastide.
Castillonnès (47330) is a medieval bastide founded in 1259 by Alphonse de Poitiers, nestled on a rocky outcrop on the northern border of Lot-et-Garonne, at the gates of the Périgord Pourpre. Its 1,359 inhabitants live in a preserved village with remarkable architecture: the former tithe barn now the town hall, covered passages (covered walkways between houses), 18th-century townhouses, a baroque church, and a 20th-century market hall. The central square, the heart of the bastide, regularly hosts events and markets.
