Summer car boot sale in the town hall gardens, on the Cerdagne high plateau
The Saillagouse Car Boot Sale is one of those discreet but charming summer events that make up the richness of Cerdan associative life. On June 21, 2026, the day of the music festival and the first Sunday of summer, the town hall gardens welcome about twenty private exhibitors for a day under the sign of conviviality. At 1,309 meters altitude, the setting is exceptional.
Located on the Cerdagne plateau, one of the largest high-altitude plateaus in Western Europe, Saillagouse is a charming village of around 1,000 inhabitants that serves as the historic capital of French Cerdagne. Known for its traditional charcuterie (the famous Bonal, made since 1946), it is an essential stop.
Beyond the car boot sale, a whole Cerdan way of life awaits visitors. After the hunt, you can take the famous Yellow Train that runs through the Têt valley, or hike to Puigmal, the highest peak in Cerdagne.
