Large flea market and car boot sale during the Pâté Lorrain Festival, place Ligier Richier in Saint-Mihiel
The Brocante de la Fête du Pâté Lorrain is an unmissable annual event in the Saint-Mihiel calendar, organized by the UCIA (Commercial and Industrial Union) of Saint-Mihiel. Every year at the beginning of June, Place Ligier Richier welcomes around sixty exhibitors — individuals and antique dealers — for a day of treasure hunting dedicated to antique objects, vintage items, and all kinds of finds.
This flea market has the particularity of taking place within the broader framework of the Fête du Pâté Lorrain, a celebration of the Meuse gastronomic specialty, making it both a commercial and festive event, with a refreshment stand and on-site catering available throughout the day.
On Place Ligier Richier, named after the famous Renaissance sculptor from Saint-Mihiel, the Brocante de la Fête du Pâté Lorrain sets up every year at the beginning of June. The location, right in the historic center of Saint-Mihiel, offers treasure hunters a remarkable heritage setting to browse the stalls.
The event usually brings together about 60 outdoor exhibitors, exclusively on the square. You'll find a characteristic mix of Lorraine flea markets: antique objects, crockery, books, vintage clothing, toys, small furniture, and small tools. Admission is free for visitors.
The UCIA combines the flea market with the Fête du Pâté Lorrain itself, a celebration of the emblematic culinary specialty of Meuse — pâté en croûte made from pork and veal marinated in white wine, herbs, and spices. The day thus combines treasure hunting, commercial entertainment, and tastings, with a refreshment stand and catering provided on site. The event attracts a local Meuse audience but also treasure hunters from Toulois, Verdunois, and southern Meuse.
