Spring fair in Clef Vallée d'Eure, a new commune in the heart of the Norman bocage
Clef Vallée d'Eure is a new commune in the Eure region, formed by the regrouping of several villages in the Norman bocage. Every spring, it hosts its 'foire à tout', a popular event that brings together exhibitors and visitors for a day of outdoor sales and flea market finds. Furniture, tableware, clothing, books, toys, and various objects fill the stalls set up in the streets of the participating hamlets.
The creation of new communes has transformed the administrative landscape of Normandy in the 2010s and 2020s. Clef Vallée d'Eure is one of these entities, bringing together several former communes around a common project. This new communal identity is also reflected in the organization of unifying events like the 'foire à tout', which helps strengthen ties between the inhabitants of the different hamlets.
The Eure bocage surrounding Clef Vallée d'Eure is a landscape of hedges, orchards, meadows, and woods crossed by streams and rivers. This green and preserved territory hosts villages with half-timbered houses and flint bell towers typical of inland Normandy. The 'foire à tout' takes place here in a bucolic setting that enhances its charm.
