Every early July, Douadic (36300) organizes its annual festival with a large flea market from 6 am to 6 pm. Around 100 exhibitors, professionals and individuals, set up their stalls rue du Suin to offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, tools, clothing and various objects. The day is punctuated by entertainment and rides for children, and ends in style with fireworks. Refreshments, food and toilets are available on site.
Douadic is a commune of about 500 inhabitants located in the Brenne regional natural park, nicknamed the "land of a thousand ponds". This exceptional territory, recognized for its remarkable biodiversity — 267 species of birds, European pond turtles, wild orchids — attracts naturalists and hikers from all over the world. The village has a Romanesque church and is set in a landscape of moors, ponds and wetlands of singular beauty.
