Festival of Books and Old Papers in the exceptional setting of the Abbey of Mozac
The Abbey of Mozac, founded in the 7th century and famous for its polychrome Romanesque capitals, among the most beautiful in Auvergne, offers an incomparable setting for this book festival. Under the ancient vaults, booksellers and dealers of old papers display their collections: rare books, old editions, manuscripts, postcards, posters, prints, and vintage photographs.
Mozac, a commune bordering Riom, is intimately linked to the monastic history of Auvergne. Its Benedictine abbey, which houses the reliquary of Saint Calmin, a masterpiece of Limoges enamelwork, is an ideal place of memory and culture to host this event dedicated to written heritage. The weekend allows visitors to combine cultural discovery with the pleasure of antiquing.
