The weekly bargain hunter's meeting in the heart of Haut-Var
Perched on the foothills of the Canjuers plateau, the village of Villecroze is famous for its cliffs pierced with troglodytic caves and its shaded municipal park. It is precisely on Place Victor-Espitalier, in the centre of the village, that the weekly flea market organised by the municipality is held every Tuesday during the warm season. From April 15 until the first frosts of autumn, this traditional event gives rhythm to village life.
The Tuesday flea market is a cheerful mix of individuals emptying their attics and small professionals settled for the season. You can hunt for antique Provençal-style furniture, faience crockery, embroidered linens, agricultural tools and time-worn decorative objects. Vintage lovers will find 1960s lamps, vinyl records and old toys, while collectors will scan boxes of old papers, postcards and coins.
The morning is perfect for strolling under the centuries-old plane trees of the square. Between two stalls, visitors gladly stop at the fountain or walk to the municipal park to admire the waterfall and the caves.
Every Tuesday morning from April 15, 2026 until early autumn. Vendors set up from 7am, market opens around 8am and closes in early afternoon.
