The car boot sale of Fest al Leur Nevez, a festive day mixing flea market, Breton crafts and fest-deiz in Guissény
Every June, the association Fest Bro Pagan organizes the Fest al Leur Nevez in Guissény (29880). The day starts with an outdoor car boot sale from 9 am, followed by a market of local artisans (honey, jewelry, soaps, photos, beer, basketry...). In the afternoon, a fest-deiz under the hangar with local musicians and singers to prepare the dirt floor.
The Fest al Leur Nevez (literally "new floor festival") is an original event organized every year in June by the association Fest Bro Pagan in Guissény (29880). This unique Breton day mixes a morning car boot sale, a local craft market, and an afternoon fest-deiz under a hangar — all in the conviviality and festive spirit of the Côte des Légendes.
The day begins at 9 am with an outdoor car boot sale where individuals and exhibitors offer their second-hand items. It's an opportunity to make great discoveries in a rural setting, a stone's throw from the Finistère coast.
From 10:30 am, the artisans' market is set up around the site. Local creators and producers present their know-how: beekeepers and their honey from the Côte des Légendes, jewelers, soap makers, photographers, craft beer brewers, basket weavers... This market is an opportunity to meet the players of the local economy directly and to support artisanal creation in northern Finistère.
The originality of Fest al Leur Nevez lies in its afternoon fest-deiz, organized under the site's hangar. Local musicians and singers liven up traditional Breton dance in an open format ("fest-deiz" = day festival, as opposed to the nocturnal fest-noz). The stated goal is to "dance to repair the hangar's dirt floor": a living tradition that perpetuates ancient village community rites. Dancing is open to everyone, beginners and experienced alike.
Crêpes, light refreshments, and drinks are available throughout the day to eat and extend the pleasure.
In June 2026, the Fest al Leur Nevez returns to Guissény (29880). Car boot sale from 9 am, Breton craft market at 10:30 am, fest-deiz under the hangar in the afternoon. Crêpes, drinks, and wooden games.
