Toy and childcare fair organized by the Thuir Natation swimming club at the Jeantet Violet hall
The Thuir Toy and Childcare Fair is organized by Thuir Natation, a local sports club affiliated with the French Swimming Federation. It is held at the Jeantet Violet hall from 8:30am to 4pm and offers a wide selection of used toys, childcare equipment, children's clothing and accessories at low prices. Proceeds go to the club to fund activities and equipment for Thuir swimmers. A charitable event that mobilizes parents, volunteers and club supporters, while allowing families to find great deals.
The Thuir Natation Toy and Childcare Fair is an annual event organized by Thuir Natation, a sports association founded in 2009 and heir to the Dauphins Thuirinois (created in 1973). The club, affiliated with the French Swimming Federation, welcomes children and adults for swimming, aqua gym and water polo. This fair represents an important source of funding for the club, allowing it to purchase equipment, fund competitions and welcome young swimmers in the best conditions.
The Jeantet Violet hall, a municipal facility in Thuir, welcomes exhibitors and visitors in a sheltered and comfortable setting. The fair offers a vast assortment: used toys for all ages (board games, figurines, stuffed animals, Lego, Playmobil, vehicles, dolls), childcare equipment (strollers, bouncers, high chairs, play mats), children's clothing in all sizes, children's books, bicycles, scooters and accessories. Deliberately affordable prices allow families to renew their children's equipment and toys without breaking the bank.
Beyond its commercial aspect, this fair is above all a moment of solidarity between Thuir families. Parents deposit items their children no longer use and find them in the hands of other families who need them. Club volunteers mobilize to ensure the smooth running of the day: setup, reception, sorting, cash handling. The club's children, for their part, directly benefit from the funds collected. It's a fine illustration of the dynamic community life that characterizes Thuir.
