Professional flea market and mycological market in the heart of the gastronomic village of Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, every 2nd weekend of November
Every 2nd weekend of November, Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid celebrates the mushroom in all its forms. A flea market with about forty professional dealers, a market for dried mushrooms, producers, artisans, and culinary demonstrations take over this gastronomic village in Haute-Loire. Free entry, open from 7:30 am to 7 pm, for an expected 20,000 visitors.
Perched at an altitude of 1,126 meters on the border of Haute-Loire and Ardèche, Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid is a nationally renowned gastronomic village, known for its starred restaurants and its love of mushrooms. Every 2nd weekend of November, it hosts its grand mycological fair, a true popular festival that attracts up to 20,000 visitors over two days.
Among the many events of the fair, the professional flea market holds a prime place. About forty professional dealers set up their stalls from 7:30 am in the village streets and squares, offering antiques, old tableware, collector's items, tools, and curiosities of all kinds. The flea market remains open until 7 pm, offering a long day of treasure hunting in an exceptional village setting.
The dried mushroom market is the heart of the fair: porcini, chanterelles, black trumpets, and other dried forest species are presented by local and regional producers. A mycological exhibition with workshops allows visitors to deepen their knowledge of mushrooms and their secrets. Culinary demonstrations by the village's great chefs complete the gastronomic offer, with special menus featuring mushrooms offered by the starred restaurants.
Beyond the flea market and mushrooms, the fair brings together local producers and artisans from all over the region. Cheeses, cured meats, honeys, jams, and products from neighboring Ardèche make up a generous local market. The fair is completely free for visitors, and catering professionals offer special deals for the occasion.
The Mushroom Fair of Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid returns on November 7th and 8th, 2026. Professional flea market, mycological market, producers, artisans, and gastronomic demonstrations, free entry.
