About Farfouille de Flachères

The Farfouille de Flachères is one of the largest car boot sales in the Bièvre-Valloire region with over 400 exhibitors spread across the village stadium. Organized every first Sunday of July by the Comité des Fêtes de Flachères and the association Flach'rando-loisirs, this event celebrated its 40th edition in 2024. Treasure hunters find everything in a festive and friendly atmosphere, in the heart of the Isère countryside.

The Farfouille de Flachères: 40 years of tradition

For over four decades, the Farfouille de Flachères has established itself as one of the flagship events for treasure hunting in Isère. Organized every first Sunday of July, this gigantic event brings together over 400 exhibitors on the village stadium, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. In 2024, the Farfouille celebrated its 40th edition, demonstrating the vitality and longevity of this popular event.

Over 400 exhibitors at the stadium

The Flachères stadium is transformed for a day into a huge treasure hunting ground. The 400 exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer a dizzying array of items: furniture, tableware, toys, books, records, clothes, tools, trinkets, and curiosities of all kinds. The scale of the offerings makes the Farfouille an event comparable to the largest flea markets in the region.

A popular festival atmosphere

Beyond treasure hunting, the Farfouille is a true village festival. The association Flach'rando-loisirs and the Comité des Fêtes de Flachères make every effort to ensure a warm and friendly atmosphere. The refreshment stand and on-site catering allow visitors to eat between finds. Exhibitors can start setting up from Saturday evening from 6 p.m., or Sunday morning from 5 a.m.

Tips for treasure hunters

Regulars know: you have to arrive early for the Farfouille. From 7 a.m., the stadium aisles are already bustling with the first treasure hunters looking for that rare find. It is advisable to bring cash and change, as individual exhibitors rarely accept card payments. Parking is free around the stadium.

Flachères, heart of Bièvre-Valloire

Flachères is a village of about 1,200 inhabitants located in the Bièvre plain, between Saint-Jean-de-Bournay and La Côte-Saint-André. The municipality, driven by dynamic associative life with the association Flach'rando-loisirs created in 2005 and the Comité des Fêtes, keeps its traditions alive through unifying events like the Farfouille. The longevity of this event, which has surpassed forty editions, testifies to the commitment of the volunteers and the attachment of the inhabitants to this popular treasure hunting tradition.

Farfouille de Flachères — edition 2026
