Diablopuces, the big winter car boot sale of Teyran in the Montpellier garrigues
The Diablopuces are the big winter car boot sale of Teyran, in the garrigues northeast of Montpellier. Organized every February, this event brings together many private exhibitors offering clothes, toys, books, dishes, and trinkets. An original event in the middle of winter for bargain hunters who don't wait for spring.
The Diablopuces of Teyran are an atypical car boot sale held in the middle of February, well before the usual flea market season. Private exhibitors take over the village to offer clothes, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, vinyl records, and small furniture. The name "Diablopuces" evokes the mischievous and original nature of this event which braves the winter chill to offer bargain hunters their dose of good deals.
Teyran is a commune of about 5,000 inhabitants located in the Montpellier garrigues, about ten kilometers northeast of Montpellier. The village has retained a picturesque old center with its narrow streets, stone houses, and church. Surrounded by vineyards and garrigues scented with thyme and rosemary, Teyran combines the tranquility of a Languedoc village with the proximity of the metropolis.
The Diablopuces attract bargain hunters from all over the north of Montpellier: Castries, Saint-Gély-du-Fesc, Le Crès, and beyond. The atmosphere is warm despite the season, warmed by the refreshment stand and catering offered on site. Prices are attractive and the selection is varied. For those who cannot wait for spring, the Diablopuces of Teyran are the flea market not to be missed at the beginning of the year.
The Diablopuces return on February 15, 2026, in Teyran. Big winter car boot sale, private exhibitors, free admission, refreshment stand.
