The COS Car Boot Sale: A Day of Treasure Hunting in Barjouville

Every May, the Comité des Œuvres Sociales (COS) of Barjouville organizes its traditional car boot sale at the municipal gymnasium, located at 34 rue de Fort Mahon. This annual event brings together private sellers and bargain hunters from the Chartres area for a great day of deals, both indoors and outdoors.

An Indoor and Outdoor Car Boot Sale

The site's configuration offers the best of both worlds: inside the gymnasium, tables allow for the display of crockery, trinkets, books, clothing, and various objects, sheltered from the weather; outside, pitches accommodate furniture, bicycles, tools, and anything that requires more space. Indoor pitches are charged per table (€10 per table) and outdoor pitches per linear meter (€4/lm).

Barjouville is a commune in Eure-et-Loir (28630) located southwest of Chartres, in the department that houses the famous Gothic cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The local associations are very active, and the COS plays a central role in local events, particularly through this annual event that brings together residents and visitors.

The COS Barjouville car boot sale is distinguished by its warm atmosphere. A refreshment stand and on-site catering are available for exhibitors and visitors throughout the day. From 8 am, the doors open to the first early bird bargain hunters, who have ample time to browse the stalls before the midday rush. The event ends at 6 pm.
